Area Audit Manager – Gold Loans

About the role

The Area Audit Manager will support the Vertical Head of Gold Loan Audits in designing and executing comprehensive audit programmes across ABCL’s gold‑loan portfolio. Based in Jodhpur, the role ensures that all stages of the gold‑loan lifecycle – from customer onboarding to collateral release – are examined for risk, compliance and operational effectiveness.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Vertical Head in developing the annual audit plan for gold‑loan operations.
• Conduct onsite and off‑site audits covering onboarding, collateral valuation, purity checks, credit assessment, sanctioning, limit booking, disbursement, post‑disbursement monitoring, and collections.
• Evaluate collateral management processes, safe‑custody, CCTV surveillance, and physical security controls.
• Review early‑warning systems, fraud risk controls, legal and regulatory compliance, and reporting mechanisms.
• Identify gaps, recommend corrective actions, and follow up on implementation across branches, products and channels.

Required profile

• Proven experience in audit or risk management within the financial services sector, preferably with exposure to gold‑loan products.
• Strong understanding of end‑to‑end loan processes and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to analyse complex data, prepare clear audit reports and communicate findings to senior management.
