Applied Value Engineer – CPGR/CMT (North America & Middle East)

About the role

As an Applied Value Engineer (CPGR/CMT‑NAM) you will solve business‑critical problems for Celonis’ most strategic customers. You will design and prototype AI‑driven solutions on the Celonis Process Intelligence platform, demonstrate value to executives, and guide successful implementation and adoption.

Key responsibilities

• AI Discovery & Solutioning – translate customer AI strategies into innovative, high‑impact solutions.
• Hackathons & Prototyping – rapidly build creative prototypes using cutting‑edge AI technologies.
• Agentic Process Transformation – enable ROI‑driven AI deployments at scale with autonomous AI agents.
• Proof projects – lead end‑to‑end Proof‑of‑Value initiatives, delivering secure, scalable LLM/agent systems.
• Ensure Successful Project Outcome – stay engaged until agreed value and adoption thresholds are met.
• Specialize in domains or industries to scale knowledge across the organization.

Required profile

• 6+ years of technical pre‑sales experience, including AI road‑mapping and ROI/TCO business cases.
• Hands‑on experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods & Retail (CPGR) industry.
• Deep understanding of generative AI techniques such as RAG, few‑shot learning, prompt engineering, multi‑agent orchestration, multimodal understanding, or fine‑tuning.
• Ability to translate high‑level business needs into concrete AI use cases across supply‑chain, finance, or other domains.
• Strong presentation skills for internal and external executive audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in computer science, engineering, mathematics or related field preferred.

Required skills

• Python programming.
• ML libraries: LangChain, pandas, pydantic, scikit‑learn, PyTorch.
• Generative AI techniques: Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), prompt engineering, few‑shot learning.
• LLM orchestration and multi‑agent systems.
• Experience with cloud AI services: AWS Bedrock, Azure AI, GCP Vertex.
• Data engineering tools and enterprise integration (identity, compliance frameworks).
