APAC Controlling Analyst – Operational Finance

About the role

The APAC Operational Controlling Analyst will execute and continuously improve recurring controlling processes across the APAC Controllership organization, providing standardized operational finance support to Country Controllers and business units.

Key responsibilities

• Execute centralized recurring controlling activities and standardize processes across APAC business units and countries.
• Monitor sales, gross margin and inventory performance, performing variance analysis and supporting decision‑making.
• Carry out balance‑sheet governance activities, including inventory reserve analysis, accrual reasonableness and working‑capital trends.
• Support commercial controlling through hedge exposure monitoring, transfer‑pricing execution and intercompany compliance.
• Identify and implement opportunities to eliminate manual work, improve data quality and drive automation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA/ACCA preferred.
• 5‑6 years of experience in controlling or accounting, preferably in manufacturing costing or trading entities.
• Experience working with shared service centers and multinational environments.
• Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Navision, JDE, D365) and involvement in implementations or upgrades.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, manufacturing inventory cost accounting and balance‑sheet analysis.
• Proficiency in SAP (or equivalent ERP) and Power BI/D365 reporting tools.
• Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
