Android SDE II – Kotlin Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Software Development Engineer (SDE II) with a strong passion for mobile technology. You will join a dynamic team of Android developers and contribute to building high‑quality, user‑focused applications.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to design scalable and robust app architecture.
• Write clean, maintainable, and reusable Kotlin code, including Flow and coroutines.
• Implement new features, enhancements, and bug fixes while meeting project timelines.
• Develop and execute unit and integration tests to ensure reliability and stability.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise the app for speed and resource efficiency.
• Create technical documentation, design documents, API specifications, and release notes.
• Work closely with product managers, designers, and engineers in Agile ceremonies.
• Stay updated on Android development trends and continuously improve processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field (Master's preferred).
• 3‑5 years of professional Android application development experience.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Kotlin (including Flow and coroutines).
• ANR detection and resolution, memory‑leak detection.
• Dependency injection frameworks such as Dagger or Hilt.
• Android SDK, Android Studio, and related development tools.
• Architecture components: MVVM, LiveData, Room, RecyclerView optimisation, Data Binding, View Binding.
• Software design principles, patterns, and best practices.
• RESTful APIs, JSON, Protocol Buffers.
• Version control with Git and CI tools like Jenkins.
