Android Developer

About the role

We are looking for an Android Developer to join our fast‑growing SaaS product team in Hyderabad. You will be responsible for building high‑performance, scalable Android applications using modern architectures and best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Android apps with Kotlin, following MVVM/MVI patterns.
• Implement Jetpack components such as ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation and WorkManager.
• Integrate and optimise RESTful and GraphQL APIs, push notifications (FCM), deep linking and in‑app messaging.
• Write clean, testable code and ensure high app performance and responsiveness.
• Use CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing and releases.
• Conduct unit and UI testing with JUnit, Mockito and Espresso.
• Collaborate with designers, backend engineers and product managers to deliver features on schedule.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest Android trends and evaluate new SDKs or third‑party services.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT or a related field.
• 1‑4 years of hands‑on Android development experience.
• Based in Hyderabad and able to work onsite.
• Strong understanding of OOP, multithreading (Coroutines/RxJava) and software design principles.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required skills

• Kotlin and Java programming.
• Android SDK, Android Studio and Gradle.
• Jetpack libraries (ViewModel, LiveData, Room, Navigation, WorkManager).
• Architecture patterns: MVVM, MVI.
• Dependency injection with Dagger‑Hilt.
• Coroutines or RxJava for asynchronous work.
• Material Design guidelines and UI/UX best practices.
• Version control with Git/GitHub.
• CI/CD tooling, unit testing (JUnit, Mockito) and UI testing (Espresso).
• Integration of RESTful APIs, GraphQL, Firebase services (Crashlytics, Analytics, Firestore, Remote Config) and push notifications (FCM).
