Analytics Engineer - Finance

About the role

Snowflake is looking for an Analytics Engineer to join its Finance Analytics Engineering team in Pune. You will build and maintain the data infrastructure that powers finance reporting, analysis and automation, directly influencing the company’s financial decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain scalable data models in Snowflake using SQL, dbt and Airflow.
• Implement automated testing and data quality checks for Snowflake data models.
• Translate finance reporting and automation requirements into concrete data model specifications.
• Collaborate with IT and other technical stakeholders to source data from key business systems.
• Provide input on data governance, security, lineage and permissions.
• Document data models, metrics and processes for end‑users.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience as an analytics, data or BI engineer.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse stakeholders.
• Comfort operating in a fast‑changing, high‑pressure environment.
• Creative problem‑solving mindset with a bias for action.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL.
• Python for data parsing and transformation.
• Snowflake, dbt, Airflow.
• Experience with MPP databases such as Redshift or BigQuery.
• Familiarity with ERP and financial planning tools.
• CI/CD pipeline concepts.
• Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, Google Cloud.
