About the role

Join us as an Analyst – Group FP&A at Barclays, where you will develop and implement the bank’s financial plans and stress‑testing methodologies, assessing the institution’s resilience under various economic scenarios. The role provides financial expertise to business units, acting as a bridge between finance and operational teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement financial strategies, plans and budgets for business units, using insights to evaluate strategic initiatives.
• Build and maintain financial models to forecast performance, assess investment opportunities and evaluate financial risks.
• Collaborate cross‑functionally to deliver financial insights, guidance and recommendations to stakeholders.
• Identify and implement process improvements that streamline financial operations and enhance controls.
• Support business units in identifying, assessing and mitigating financial risks, providing training on risk management and compliance.
• Analyse and present financial data to highlight performance trends and support decision‑making.

Required profile

• Demonstrated ability to perform activities to a high standard and meet tight deadlines.
• In‑depth technical knowledge of financial planning, accounting standards and risk‑control practices.
• Strong analytical mindset with the capacity to make evaluative judgments based on factual information.
• For leadership roles, ability to guide, develop and inspire team members; for individual contributors, deep expertise in the assigned area.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience with financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting and analytical techniques.
• Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial planning processes.
