AIX/Linux Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced AIX/Linux Administrator to manage and support our enterprise server environment. The role involves ensuring high availability, performance, and security of both AIX and Linux platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, patch and upgrade AIX, RHEL, CentOS and SUSE servers.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot incidents and maintain optimal uptime.
• Manage user access, file systems, LVM, and disk administration.
• Perform backup, recovery and disaster‑recovery operations.
• Apply server hardening, vulnerability remediation and security compliance measures.
• Coordinate deployments and issue resolution with application teams.
• Maintain documentation and follow ITIL incident and change management processes.

Required profile

• Strong experience in AIX and Linux system administration.
• Good understanding of networking concepts such as TCP/IP, DNS and NFS.
• Familiarity with virtualization technologies (LPARs, VIOS for AIX).
• Experience with monitoring tools, system log analysis, backup solutions and disaster‑recovery practices.
• Knowledge of security compliance, patch management and ITIL‑based processes.
