Airfield Drainage Expert – Airside

About the role

We are seeking a highly skilled Airfield Drainage Expert with over 15 years of experience designing, managing and maintaining drainage systems in airside environments across Pan India. The role focuses on ensuring safety, functionality and sustainability of airport and airbase drainage infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design and optimisation of surface and subsurface airfield drainage networks.
• Conduct hydrological and hydraulic modelling to assess storm‑water flow and drainage efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with ICAO, FAA and local environmental regulations.
• Plan, execute and deliver projects on schedule, within budget and to quality standards.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including civil engineers, contractors and environmental specialists.
• Manage procurement of drainage materials and equipment.
• Provide expert guidance on installation, operation and maintenance of airside drainage systems.
• Develop innovative solutions such as permeable pavements and sustainable urban drainage systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum 15 years of experience in airfield drainage, preferably on large‑scale airport or military projects.
• Proficiency with hydrological and hydraulic modelling software (HEC‑RAS, SWMM, Civil 3D).
• Strong knowledge of storm‑water management, erosion control and flood mitigation.
• Demonstrated leadership and team‑management abilities.
