AI Research Engineer – Pre‑training LLM & Multi‑Modal

About the role

Join Tether’s AI model team to drive innovation in the design and development of large language models and multi‑modal systems. You will work on cutting‑edge research that improves model efficiency, expands capabilities, and pushes the boundaries of pre‑training techniques.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement novel architectures for LLMs and multi‑modal models of various scales.
• Research and apply optimization strategies to accelerate pre‑training pipelines.
• Curate and align multi‑modal datasets to improve model performance.
• Identify and resolve bottlenecks in existing pre‑training workflows.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate research outcomes into production systems.

Required profile

• Strong background in AI research with a focus on large language models and multi‑modal architectures.
• Hands‑on experience in pre‑training optimization and experimental methodology.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work in a fully remote, globally distributed team.
