Advanced Practice Provider (NP/PA) – Full-time in Comanche, TX

About the role

Comanche County Medical Center is seeking a dedicated Advanced Practice Provider—either a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant—to join its Doctor’s Medical Clinic in a rural Texas setting. This full‑time position offers the chance to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care while collaborating closely with physicians and the broader healthcare team.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients of all ages.
• Obtain comprehensive medical histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and act on diagnostic tests and laboratory results.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and therapies in line with Texas regulations and CCMC policies.
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and preventive health.
• Document all care accurately in the electronic medical record.
• Collaborate with physicians and other professionals to coordinate care.
• Participate in quality‑improvement and patient‑satisfaction initiatives.

Required profile

• Current Texas licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current DEA registration and prescriptive authority (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS certification (required); ACLS certification preferred.
• Strong clinical assessment and communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently while integrating effectively with the team.
• Prior experience in clinic, family practice, urgent care, or emergency medicine is preferred.
