ADAS Domain Knowledge Functions - Architect

About the role

We are looking for an experienced ADAS Architect to lead the design and documentation of architecture for advanced driver assistance systems at Bosch’s Bangalore development centre. The role involves shaping system, software and hardware architecture while ensuring safety and security compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Define, document and communicate architecture and design across development layers.
• Evaluate stakeholder requirements and translate them into architectural drivers.
• Create and maintain architecture documentation, including decisions and reviews.
• Incorporate safety (ISO 26262) and security (ISO 21434) considerations into system, software and hardware designs.
• Specify component interfaces, assign software requirements, and collaborate on component design.
• Participate in architecture review boards as author or reviewer.
• Support project management, configuration management and problem‑resolution activities.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in automotive software development, preferably in ADAS.
• Strong knowledge of L2/L2+ ADAS functions, radar, ultrasonic and camera‑based sensors.
• Hands‑on experience with requirement management tools such as DOORS, Docs as Code or Codebeamer.
• Understanding of ISO 26262 safety and ISO 21434 security standards.
• Proficiency in embedded systems, real‑time operating systems and AUTOSAR (Classic and Adaptive).
• Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN, Ethernet, SPI, I2C).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum and ASPICE development processes.

Required skills

• Design tools: Flux, Enterprise Architect.
• Development tools: VSCode, C, C++.
• Debugging and tracing: Trace32.
• Performance optimisation, concurrency and hardware acceleration (GPU, DSP, NPU).
• System/hardware architecture: microcontrollers, peripherals and SoCs.
• Software testing and test environment setup.
