Accounts Receivable Specialist

About the role

Quaestor Advisors, LLC, a Special Servicer affiliated with Arena Investors, LP, is expanding its team through the addition of an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist. The role sits within the Corporate Accounting team and involves owning the end-to-end accounts receivable roll-forward, reconciling balances and supporting the billing and collections cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end AR roll-forward, tracking billings, cash receipts, expense recoveries and customer balances in line with accounting policies and internal controls.
• Perform monthly AR reconciliations with the general ledger and supporting schedules, investigating and resolving variances.
• Produce and present quarterly KPIs to senior members of the Arena team.
• Partner with Operations, Asset Management, Treasury and Accounting to support the billing and collections cycle, managing timing, data integrity and issue resolution.
• Act as a key point of contact for stakeholder inquiries, resolving balance questions, unapplied cash and aging items.
• Review daily cash activity with the Treasury Accountant and oversee AR-related wire activity in NetSuite, ensuring proper documentation and approvals.
• Analyze monthly balances and management reports, highlighting overdue balances, collection risks and trends.
• Support the month-end close and propose process improvements across the AR function.

Required profile

• Solid accounting foundation; understanding of general ledger integration, reconciliations and financial reporting is essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a focus on accuracy and controls.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, working with senior leaders across Asset Management, Finance, Operations and Treasury.
• Proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing process improvements.
• Qualified CA preferred.
