Accountant – Mauritius Operations

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Accountant to manage the full financial cycle of our Mauritius retail operations and an upcoming overseas project. The position is based in our Calicut office and will work closely with the Mauritius team, local vendors, and international consultants.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain daily financial records using Zoho Books and reconcile bank and supplier statements.
• Handle accounts payable and receivable, matching payments with sales invoices.
• Coordinate statutory compliance, liaise with Mauritius auditors, and ensure timely VAT and tax filings.
• Prepare monthly P&L, balance sheet, cash‑flow reports, and provide variance analysis to senior management.
• Track inventory movements, stock levels, and sales trends for the store.
• Collaborate with Mauritius store staff, local vendors, tax consultants, and the head office.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Finance.
• CA Inter / CMA Inter / ACCA qualification is preferred.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably with multi‑currency or international entities.
• Strong knowledge of international accounting principles and regulatory frameworks.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work independently.
