Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Accountant to join our Finance team within the Engineering & Construction sector in Mumbai. The role involves managing end‑to‑end accounting processes, ensuring compliance with GST, TDS and other tax regulations, and supporting month‑end and year‑end financial closures.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR‑1, GSTR‑3B, GSTR‑9, GSTR‑9C) and reconcile tax mismatches.
• Handle TDS and advance tax payments, filings and revisions.
• Maintain and close books of accounts in accordance with Indian GAAP using Tally and SAP.
• Perform month‑end, quarter‑end and year‑end closing activities, including audit support and statutory filings.
• Reconcile accounts receivable, accounts payable and bank statements on a daily basis.
• Prepare e‑invoices and e‑way bills as required.

Required profile

• 4 to 6 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Preferred academic background: B.Com, M.Com or CA Inter.
• Strong knowledge of Indian GAAP, GST, TDS and income‑tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Tally and SAP for day‑to‑day transaction entry.
