Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Accounts department at our head office in Zirakpur. You will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports and supporting day‑to‑day accounting operations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions.
• Reconcile bank statements and balance‑sheet accounts on a regular basis.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations and internal policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in an accounting role.
• Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• CPA or CMA certification is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced MS Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP/IFRS accounting standards.
• Experience with tax preparation and filing.
