Accountant II

About the role

We are seeking an Accountant II to join our Finance team. The role reports to the Finance leader and works closely with the team to ensure accurate month‑end closing and compliance with statutory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries for monthly closing, including prepaid expenses and provisions.
• Verify AP invoices weekly to ensure correct TDS and GST treatment.
• Execute bank reconciliations using the FEBAN transaction code.
• Post payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll GL accounts.
• Perform black‑line reconciliations for selected balance‑sheet GL accounts.
• Assist in compiling expense, accounts receivable and payable schedules for statutory and tax audits.
• Raise procurement requests for accounting‑related services and coordinate with other departments.
• Support local commercial teams with administrative and facilities tasks.

Required profile

• Detail‑oriented and results‑driven with strong analytical abilities.
• Ability to quickly digest and manipulate large data sets.
• Effective communication skills to explain complex financial concepts.
• Experience working in a collaborative finance environment.
