Accountant-General

About the role

The Accountant‑General will ensure the accuracy and integrity of all financial records for The St. Regis Goa Resort. This full‑time position supports the finance team by handling day‑to‑day accounting tasks, cash management, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for accuracy.
• Organise, secure and maintain files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with policies.
• Record, store and analyse computerized financial information.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers or computer systems.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting and payroll reports.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and issue invoices, bills and account statements.
• Follow‑up on past‑due accounts and vendor invoices until resolved.
• Prepare daily consolidated cash deposits and document cash variances.
• Maintain cashier banks and contracts.
• Adhere to company policies, protect confidential information and ensure professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related finance or accounting experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
