Accountant – FP&A & General Accounting

About the role

The Accountant will combine solid accounting fundamentals with FP&A capabilities to support day‑to‑day financial operations and provide strategic business insights. Based in Andheri, Mumbai, you will work closely with cross‑functional teams to drive financial planning, reporting and compliance for a global life‑science organization.

Key responsibilities

• Support financial planning, forecasting and budgeting across business units.
• Analyse financial performance versus budget and deliver insights for decision‑making.
• Prepare cash‑flow forecasts, business reviews and management reports.
• Assist in group consolidation, investment planning and M&A analysis.
• Handle month‑end closing, prepare monthly financial reports and maintain the general ledger.
• Process journal entries, account reconciliations, invoicing, receivables and collections.
• Manage purchase orders, payments, expense reports and monitor bank accounts and inventory levels.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate financial documentation and support audit activities.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to align financial goals with business objectives.

Required profile

• Degree in Accountancy with at least three years of general accounting experience.
• Certified Public Accountant (CA/CPA) qualification.
• Strong analytical abilities, high accuracy and ability to work under pressure.
• Proactive team player with high professional integrity.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (advantageous).
