Accountant – Fixed Asset & SAP Specialist

About the role

Volvo Group’s Record to Report team in Bangalore is seeking an Accountant with solid experience in fixed‑asset accounting and SAP. You will support the finance function by maintaining master data, processing asset transactions and ensuring accurate month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• SAP master data maintenance (FI/CO).
• Manage the full fixed‑asset lifecycle: acquisition, capitalization, internal order creation, WBS element creation, settlements, retirements, transfers, scrap, and sale of assets.
• Perform fixed‑asset reconciliation and monthly reporting.
• Record business transactions in BlackLine and prepare general‑ledger reports.
• Prepare financial reports and support internal and external audits.
• Monitor transactions for compliance with IFRS and Volvo Group financial policies.
• Daily interaction with internal clients within the assigned area of responsibility.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Commerce.
• 3–5 years of experience in fixed‑asset accounting, month‑end close, and financial reporting.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP FI/CO, GL, AP, AR, and FA modules.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of IFRS and corporate finance policies.
