Accountant – Financial Reporting & Compliance

About the role

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Accountant to join our Accounts department at Jeena Sikho Lifecare Ltd’s head office in Zirakpur. The role will support day‑to‑day accounting operations, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and provide reliable reporting for internal decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate general‑ledger entries, financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring timely payments and collections.
• Reconcile bank statements, balance‑sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
• Produce monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports, including variance analysis.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP/IFRS, tax regulations and internal control policies.
• Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience in an accounting role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS) and tax regulations.
• High attention to detail, analytical mindset and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Experience in tax preparation and filing.
