Account Manager – Sales (India)

About the role

We are launching a new facility in Pune and need an experienced Account Manager to drive sales in the Indian market, focusing on the automotive sector and technical textile applications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage customer relationships and business opportunities in the automotive industry and technical applications.
• Coordinate local customer projects, deliveries, documentation and product sampling together with Project Management.
• Monitor forecasts, order volumes, delivery quantities and payment performance.
• Achieve and sustainably increase sales targets within the assigned area.
• Analyse market trends, customer needs and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Prepare price calculations, commercial proposals and quotations, and lead negotiations independently.
• Collaborate with international subsidiaries and provide regular reports on customer development, market trends, competitor activities and complaints.
• Represent the company at customer locations and travel extensively throughout India.

Required profile

• Commercial training or a completed university degree.
• Solid B2B sales experience with technically sophisticated products, ideally technical textiles.
• Strong commercial and cross‑functional thinking.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Customer‑ and quality‑oriented, sales‑driven and team‑oriented mindset.
