Account Manager - Bulk Gases (North)

About the role

The Account Manager – Bulk Gases will be responsible for driving revenue and profitability across an assigned northern territory. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, you will combine key‑account management with new‑client acquisition to expand Air Liquide’s presence in the industrial gases market.

Key responsibilities

• Lead prospecting activities to generate new business opportunities.
• Promote Air Liquide solutions to both prospective and existing customers.
• Collaborate with Business Development to develop and qualify opportunities.
• Plan and execute customer visits aligned with sales objectives.
• Build and maintain commercial and technical relationships within customer organisations.
• Ensure market visibility and manage development planning.
• Defend the existing customer base against gas and non‑gas competitors.
• Manage customer pricing and negotiate contracts.
• Ensure timely collection of payments and achievement of sales targets.
• Monitor competitor activities according to internal guidelines.

Required profile

• Team‑oriented with strong flexibility and adaptability.
• Proven ability to build strategic working relationships and influence stakeholders.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional presentation and the ability to adjust style to different environments.
• Optimistic, enthusiastic temperament.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering.
• 5‑8 years of relevant experience with a track record of sales success.
