About the role
The Zonal Sales Manager will lead the bancassurance partnership with Indian Bank across the assigned zone, driving revenue, profitability and market share. This role focuses on business development, strategy execution and strengthening the relationship with the bank to achieve growth targets.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the bancassurance partner relationship, ensuring cost efficiencies and revenue targets are met.
- Identify and pursue strategic business opportunities with the bank to expand distribution.
- Design and implement customised sales strategies, incentive structures and performance metrics for each circle.
- Educate the bank partner on reward and recognition programs and drive their support.
- Collaborate with internal teams to launch new products, technologies and systems that enhance channel growth.
- Monitor persistency, mindshare and branch network expansion, aiming for a minimum of 50 partner branches.
- Liaise with senior stakeholders, including the Relationship Head and Channel Head, to ensure alignment and execution.
Required profile
- Proven experience in bancassurance or insurance sales within the Indian banking ecosystem.
- Strong relationship‑management skills with the ability to influence bank partners.
- Track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
- Understanding of RBI and IRDAI regulatory frameworks.
- Ability to lead a small direct team and coordinate with a larger indirect network.
