Urgent Hiring: Consultant ICU Intensivist (MD, DNB, DA)

About the role

The hospital is seeking an experienced Consultant Intensivist to independently manage critically ill patients in its multi‑specialty ICU in Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh. The role involves full‑time, on‑site clinical care for medical and surgical emergencies, with a focus on high‑quality critical care delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, stabilise and treat medical and surgical emergencies in the ICU.
• Manage mechanically ventilated patients and provide appropriate ventilator support.
• Handle sepsis, shock, respiratory failure, ARDS and multi‑organ dysfunction.
• Perform ICU procedures such as endotracheal intubation, central venous catheterisation, arterial line placement and emergency airway management.
• Conduct regular ICU rounds, monitor patient progress and document accurate records.
• Respond to code‑blue situations and participate in resuscitation efforts.
• Coordinate care with physicians, surgeons, anaesthesiologists and other specialists.
• Guide nursing staff on critical‑care protocols and ensure infection‑control compliance.

Required profile

• MD in Anaesthesiology, DNB Anaesthesiology or DA (Diploma in Anaesthesia).
• Valid registration with NMC or Chhattisgarh Medical Council.
• Significant hands‑on ICU and critical‑care experience; experienced candidates preferred.
• Strong clinical decision‑making ability in emergency settings.
