Transportation Planner – Scheduling & Optimization

About the role

The Transportation Planner will own the scheduling process for shipments, ensuring timely delivery while optimizing the use of fleets and warehouses. This role involves data analysis, coordination with carriers, warehouses and internal stakeholders, and the use of PepsiCo’s transportation planning tools.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organize and optimize shipment schedules to meet delivery targets and resource efficiency.
• Assign carriers to shipments based on PepsiCo policies, contracts, route guides and capacity data.
• Adjust schedules proactively to maintain feasible and practical shipment plans.
• Monitor carrier acceptance/rejection (A/R) and resolve issues under time pressure.
• Publish final “Trip Build” schedules according to cut‑off times.
• Collaborate with transport planners, execution teams and performance teams to balance workloads and address capacity constraints.

Required profile

• Engineering degree from a Tier‑1 university.
• 2–5 years of experience in transport planning or a related logistics function.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Fluent English communication skills.
