Transport Management Executive (Contract)

About the role

This contract position is responsible for overseeing transport operations for a country within BASF's supply chain. The role ensures efficient inbound and outbound logistics for bulk and packaged goods, while maintaining high standards of safety and service quality.

Key responsibilities

• Manage transport operations (inbound and outbound) for bulk and packaged shipments using various transportation modes.
• Evaluate, monitor and improve performance of third‑party service providers, handling non‑conformance issues.
• Participate in selection and onboarding of new service providers.
• Optimize transportation processes based on market surveys and business feedback.
• Track deliveries, monitor in‑transit vehicles, and ensure timely delivery to customers.
• Coordinate with EHS, insurance and service providers in case of accidents.
• Manage insurance claims and recoveries from service providers.
• Ensure compliance with BASF safety and performance standards.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics or a related field.
• Open to fresh graduates or candidates with at least 1 year of transport management experience.
• Ability to work in the India time zone (11 AM‑8 PM MYT) and on Saturdays.
• Fluency in Hindi or Tamil.
