Technical Product Manager – Identity & Access Management

About the role

Zinnia is seeking a Technical Product Manager to lead the Customer Identity & Access Management (CIAM) product area. You will shape how carriers, distributors, partners, and policyholders securely access the platform while ensuring a smooth user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the CIAM product backlog across consumer, partner, and workforce identities.
• Write clear requirements and user stories for authentication (SSO, MFA, passwordless), authorization (RBAC/ABAC, delegated access), and the user lifecycle (registration, provisioning/SCIM, recovery, deprovisioning).
• Collaborate with Engineering and Architecture on protocol decisions and implementations (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, SCIM).
• Evaluate build‑vs‑buy options for identity providers and maintain integration across Zinnia products.
• Balance security, privacy, and usability to reduce friction while protecting against account takeover and abuse.
• Partner with Security, Risk, and Compliance to meet regulatory obligations for the insurance industry.
• Track feature performance metrics and use data to prioritize improvements.
• Serve as the day‑to‑day point of contact for identity requirements across Product, Engineering, and Security.

Required profile

• 5+ years of Product Management experience with exposure to identity and access management or CIAM.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technology or a related field.
• Working knowledge of modern identity standards and protocols.
