Supply Chain Scheduler (M/F/D)

About the role

The Supply Chain Scheduler is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels of raw materials and component families, ensuring that material availability aligns with the Master Production Schedule (MPS) and customer demand. The role involves close collaboration with suppliers, logistics, purchasing, and internal production teams to guarantee timely deliveries and continuous supply chain performance.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and report daily inventory levels for assigned raw material and component families.
• Track MPS achievement and propose preventive actions to secure material availability.
• Define and implement inventory reduction initiatives for component families.
• Measure Supplier Service Rate (SSR) and develop action plans to improve supplier performance.
• Prepare weekly forecasts for suppliers and validate raw material requirements based on Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning.
• Coordinate material arrivals, ensuring suppliers ship on time according to firm orders.
• Communicate precise and reliable information to supplier contacts, adapting communication methods and frequency as needed.
• Identify bottlenecks, propose quick corrective actions, and attend logistics/purchasing meetings to follow up on action plans.
• Support implementation of supply‑chain tools such as Pull flow, Kanban, EDI, and Milk run.
• Collaborate with external flow analysts on inbound transportation planning.
• Assist with inventory counting and maintain inventory accuracy in coordination with ERP and inventory control analysts.
• Alert sales and management in crisis situations, define priorities, and escalate when necessary.
• Maintain regular contact with major suppliers and ensure backup coverage during holidays.

Required profile

• Proven experience in supply chain planning, inventory management, or related logistics functions.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to monitor KPIs such as SSR and inventory levels.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Ability to work proactively, identify issues early, and drive corrective actions.
• Familiarity with cross‑functional collaboration across purchasing, logistics, and production teams.
