Solution Architect – Digital Archiving

About the role

A vacancy for a Solution Architect has arisen within Airbus India in Bangalore. You will join the Digital Archiving team to modernise the Long‑Term Archiving (LTA) solution landscape. The team builds, maintains and operates the central archiving solution for Airbus Commercial, working in a SAFe environment with DevSecOps principles.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the full delivery lifecycle – design, implement, test, document, support and operate libraries and frameworks.
• Design scalable solutions that meet functional and non‑functional requirements and align with architectural blueprints.
• Analyse the technology environment, conduct architectural evaluations (including security risks) and participate in technology selection.
• Mentor and coach junior developers, establish code‑review best practices and drive technical road‑mapping with architects.
• Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to manage technical debt and drive innovative, cost‑effective solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of software development experience, primarily Java backend development with JDK 8+ and Spring Framework.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps pipelines, micro‑services architecture, cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and front‑end development with React/TypeScript.
• Proven experience leading technical teams (8‑10 developers) and communicating effectively in English.
