Software Tool Developer (VS Code & DSL)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Tool Developer to create and maintain productivity tools for developers. You will focus on building VS Code extensions and domain‑specific language (DSL) tooling using JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js, helping teams streamline their workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and publish VS Code extensions with features such as syntax highlighting, code completion, hover, go‑to‑definition, rename, formatting, diagnostics, quick fixes, and problem matchers.
• Define and evolve DSLs using Langium or similar workbenches, including grammar, AST models, parsers, validators, and serializers.
• Generate artifacts from DSL models (e.g., configuration files, documentation, code stubs, JSON/YAML outputs).
• Integrate DSL tooling into CI/CD pipelines and build CLI utilities for compilation and validation.
• Write unit and integration tests, maintain code quality through reviews and static analysis, and produce developer documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and Node.js development.
• Hands‑on experience creating VS Code extensions.
• Familiarity with DSL design and implementation, preferably using Langium.
• Ability to integrate tooling into CI/CD workflows and develop CLI utilities.
