Site Manager – Construction Operations

About the role

The Site Manager will lead the end‑to‑end management of a steel‑structure construction site for India’s largest integrated steel manufacturer. You will ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the required quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring adherence to agreed timelines and quality specifications.
• Control project costs to stay within the approved estimation.
• Maintain an exceptional safety record by enforcing site safety standards.
• Conduct preliminary site visits, prepare material delivery plans, and coordinate erection method statements.
• Read and interpret erection drawings, allocate work to site engineers and supervisors.
• Monitor master schedules, material deliveries, and manage timely material call‑offs.
• Supervise unloading processes to guarantee proper handling and storage of materials.

Required profile

• 10+ years of site management experience in steel‑structure projects.
• Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (BE) or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead and manage a workforce of 30‑100 site operatives.
• Strong organisational and leadership capabilities with a focus on meeting deadlines.
• In‑depth knowledge of safety regulations and construction standards.
