Senior Software Engineer (Python) – Automation & Developer Platforms

About the role

Join Bosch's internal engineering platforms team to build and evolve Python‑based automation and developer platforms that empower hundreds of engineers to build, test, comply, and ship faster. You will work on multiple codebases spanning automation, compliance, and platform reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Python CLI tools and APIs used across many product teams.
• Ensure high software quality through robust architecture, testing strategies, code reviews, releases, and documentation.
• Improve and automate CI/CD pipelines and platform operations with an infrastructure‑as‑code mindset.
• Build and operate platform components for monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams to understand workflow pain points and deliver pragmatic solutions.
• Handle support tickets and incidents, focusing on automation and prevention.

Required profile

• Strong professional experience building production‑grade Python software (services, libraries, tooling).
• Commitment to code quality, clean design, comprehensive tests, and thorough documentation.
• Comfort operating in a DevOps/SRE environment with automation‑first, monitoring‑driven, and security‑aware practices.
• Ability to quickly learn new domains and switch contexts across multiple projects.
