Senior Lead Auditor - IMS

About the role

The Senior Lead Auditor – IMS will lead audit engagements for clients, verifying compliance with relevant management system standards. The role supports organisations transitioning to integrated certification schemes and operates in line with Bureau Veritas’ Quality Assurance System and Code of Ethics.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute and report audits following ISO 19011, Bureau Veritas Management System and the BVC India Operations Manual.
• Coordinate with audit team leaders and technical functions to ensure audit scope, qualifications and reporting meet LTO requirements.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of regulatory changes and emerging technologies relevant to the audited schemes.
• Manage audit timelines from planning through to final reporting, including handling unexpected situations such as audit cancellations or disputes.
• Submit travel and expense statements promptly and protect company assets during field work.

Required profile

• Science or Engineering graduate (BSc/MSc) with 8‑13 years of industry experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience conducting second‑ or third‑party audits.
• IRCA or equivalent Lead Auditor training certification.
• Familiarity with ISO 17021 and ISO 17065 requirements and related terminology.

Required skills

• Proficiency in applying ISO 19011 audit principles.
• Knowledge of ISO 17021 and ISO 17065 standards.
• IRCA Lead Auditor certification or equivalent.
• Ability to interpret and implement integrated management system schemes.
