Senior Java Software Engineer – Microservices

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with deep expertise in Java and micro‑services to join our global finance team. You will work in an Agile environment, delivering end‑to‑end solutions while collaborating closely with business stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, UAT, deployment and maintenance.
• Create high‑level and detailed technical designs, testing strategies and implementation road‑maps.
• Translate business requirements into process workflows, data specifications and implementation plans.
• Develop unit and integration tests to ensure reliable, resilient software.
• Foster strong relationships with business partners and identify opportunities for cross‑division collaboration and solution reuse.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of professional experience with Java, J2EE, Spring, RESTful services and Kafka.
• Strong analytical abilities for both technical and functional design work.
• Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work in a global, multi‑disciplinary team.
• Solid background in relational databases (SQL) and/or MongoDB.
• Hands‑on experience with Elasticsearch, Kibana, Logstash and building micro‑services.
• Familiarity with modern libraries such as Guava and JodaTime.
• Experience with test‑driven development using JUnit, Mockito and Cucumber.
