Senior DevOps Engineer

About the role

We are part of Bottomline’s Cyber Fraud and Risk Management (CFRM) segment, protecting high‑profile corporate customers from cyber‑fraud before it happens. As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will lead the design, deployment and operation of critical production systems that enable secure, scalable payments.

Key responsibilities

• Lead deployment, maintenance and optimisation of live production applications, ensuring high availability, scalability and security.
• Architect and enhance automation, monitoring, logging and alerting infrastructure to improve reliability and performance.
• Identify and implement AI‑driven automation opportunities across DevOps, observability and incident management.
• Mentor junior engineers, review code and configurations, and unblock complex technical challenges.
• Evaluate and introduce emerging DevOps tools, frameworks and best practices.
• Collaborate with R&D, Support and Security teams to deliver end‑to‑end solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE or similar roles in complex production environments.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Docker, Kubernetes and related tooling (Kustomize, Helm, Argo CD).
• Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python or Bash and solid software‑engineering fundamentals.
• Advanced experience with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, Oracle) and performance tuning.
• Deep knowledge of Linux system administration.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet).
