Senior AI Platform Engineer

About the role

Assent is building a governed AI platform that turns use cases into production‑ready services for both technical and non‑technical builders. As a Senior AI Platform Engineer you will create the self‑serve builder experience, providing templated options that automatically generate scaffolding, deployment pipelines, and enforce security and cost controls.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and expand self‑serve build patterns (knowledge‑base agents, connectors, Okta‑gated web apps, workflow automations) with automated scaffolding.
• Own and evolve the core deployment pipeline on AWS ECS Fargate, including container orchestration, load balancing, and SSO enforcement.
• Write and maintain Terraform IaC for compute, networking, and IAM, keeping infrastructure separate from application code.
• Implement mandatory logging, metering, and cost‑tracking in every pattern and service.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with hands‑on cloud infrastructure and platform engineering.
• Production experience with AWS container services (ECS/Fargate), load balancers, IAM, and Terraform.
• Strong Python scripting ability for automation and tooling.
• Experience implementing SSO/OIDC (Okta, Auth0) at the infrastructure layer.
