Senior Accountant – Expense Management

About the role
The Senior Accountant will manage expense recording and reconciliation to ensure accurate, reliable, and timely financial reporting. This role supports operational excellence, continuous improvement initiatives, and global process governance within Mastercard's expense accounting function.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries in accordance with U.S. GAAP.
- Monitor accounting for agreements to ensure compliance with Mastercard policies.
- Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations and monthly expense reporting.
- Provide management reporting, variance analysis, and ad‑hoc analysis on expense activity.
- Represent GBSC on cross‑functional project teams and support SOX testing and audits.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CA or MBA preferred.
- Experience in expense accounting, preferably within a shared‑services or internal service delivery environment.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and time‑management abilities.
Required skills
- Oracle financial system.
- Reconciliation tools.
- Microsoft Excel and Word.
