Sales Executive (Hospitality)

About the role

The Sales Executive will act as the primary point of contact for guests, handling reservations, inquiries and up‑selling opportunities to maximise revenue while maintaining loyalty to the Marriott brand. This full‑time, onsite position supports the Sales & Marketing team at the Sheraton property in Chennai.

Key responsibilities

• Answer and process guest calls, requests, reservations, changes and cancellations via phone, fax or email.
• Utilise sales techniques to up‑sell services and promote Marriott Rewards, including issuing complimentary gifts and processing point redemptions.
• Enter reservation and loyalty information accurately into the Marriott reservation system.
• Provide general office support for Sales & Marketing, such as filing, emailing, typing and faxing.
• Assist management in training and motivating staff, and act as a role model for service standards.
• Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality of proprietary information and adherence to company policies.
• Ensure guest satisfaction by welcoming, anticipating needs and delivering courteous service.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in sales, hospitality or guest services.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 10 lb without assistance.
