Sales Executive – Abrasives Systems (Coimbatore)

About the role

3M is seeking a dynamic Sales Executive for its Abrasives Systems Division in Coimbatore. You will be responsible for driving secondary sales across key industrial accounts, expanding market penetration, and developing new business opportunities in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Achieve sales targets for assigned key accounts and the broader territory covering Coimbatore, Trichy, Madurai, Tuticorin, and Kerala.
• Identify and acquire new accounts in metal fabrication, auto components, casting & forging, and aerospace.
• Conduct product demonstrations, application development, and market share growth initiatives.
• Build relationships with key opinion leaders and senior stakeholders within key accounts.
• Execute technical, marketing, and sales promotion activities, maintaining regular customer engagement.
• Use Salesforce CRM to track calls, manage the opportunity pipeline, and ensure effective opportunity management.
• Collaborate with channel partners, application engineering, and marketing teams to meet territory objectives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Production, Industrial, Metallurgy) preferred; MBA/PGDM in Sales & Marketing is a plus.
• 3–5 years of B2B/industrial sales, key account management, or technical sales experience.
• Experience in abrasives, welding, cutting tools, industrial lubricants, paints, or power tools is advantageous.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Salesforce CRM.
