Risk Assurance Advisor – Technology Control Testing

About the role

The Quality Assurance Advisor strengthens first‑line control testing and quality assurance across a defined technology portfolio. The role delivers insights into control effectiveness, risk exposure and non‑compliance, and supports continuous uplift of testing practices.

Key responsibilities

• Support improvement of control testing methodologies, frameworks, templates and quality standards.
• Ensure testing activities are performed consistently and in line with approved methodologies.
• Identify opportunities to enhance testing through data‑driven techniques and automation.
• Conduct control testing and assurance activities, review outcomes and highlight control weaknesses, process gaps and emerging risks.
• Perform root‑cause analysis, provide recommendations and monitor remediation to ensure sustainable closure.
• Partner with business, risk, compliance and control stakeholders to improve risk awareness and control effectiveness.

Required profile

• 5‑8 years of experience in control testing, quality assurance, risk assessment, compliance monitoring, audit or operational risk within a regulated environment.
• Strong understanding of risk and control frameworks, control taxonomies and enterprise risk management standards.
• Demonstrated ability to assess control adequacy through testing, root‑cause analysis and evidence evaluation.
• Excellent stakeholder management, planning, prioritisation and communication skills.
