Procurement Manager – Capital Expenditure (Capex)

About the role

Amazon is seeking a results‑driven Procurement Manager to lead end‑to‑end sourcing for capital‑expenditure (Capex) categories, focusing on material handling equipment, spare parts and services across its fulfillment network. The role combines engineering insight with commercial acumen to deliver cost‑efficient, scalable procurement solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full procurement cycle for Capex material‑handling solutions, managing day‑to‑day escalations.
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies, identify and onboard qualified suppliers.
• Manage strategic supplier relationships, conduct performance reviews, negotiate contracts and mitigate risks.
• Drive improvements in quality, lead times and total cost of ownership while maintaining budget visibility.
• Partner with engineering, operations, finance and legal to translate business needs into sourcing plans.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, audit requirements and ethical standards.
• Run concurrent procurement projects, track milestones and report progress to senior leadership.
• Monitor market trends and evaluate innovative procurement solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, business or related field.
• 7+ years of supply‑chain or procurement experience, or 3+ years of program/project management with a relevant degree.
• Proven experience in vendor management and cost‑improvement initiatives.
• Strong analytical ability with experience using data tools such as Microsoft Excel and SQL.
• Preferred: Master’s degree.
