Pharmacy Manager – In‑House Hospital Pharmacy

About the role

The 100‑bed multi‑speciality hospital in Tezpur is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead its in‑house pharmacy. You will be responsible for ensuring continuous availability of medicines and consumables while maintaining high standards of safety and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day operations of the hospital pharmacy, including procurement, inventory control, and stock replenishment.
• Supervise pharmacy staff, manage duty rosters, and coordinate workflow with doctors, nursing, finance and stores.
• Ensure accurate dispensing of medicines according to prescriptions and hospital protocols.
• Monitor expiry dates, damaged or slow‑moving stock and maintain proper documentation of receipts, issues, returns and adjustments.
• Maintain controlled, restricted and high‑alert medication records and ensure compliance with pharmacy laws and NABH standards.
• Conduct regular physical stock audits, investigate discrepancies and prepare reports for hospital management.
• Implement and enforce pharmacy SOPs, and support audits and quality‑assurance activities.

Required profile

• B.Pharm or M.Pharm (preferred) with valid Pharmacy Council registration.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hospital or in‑house pharmacy management.
• Proven experience in multi‑speciality hospital pharmacy operations is an advantage.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Pharmacy Management Software / Hospital Information System (HIS).
