Pet Care Associate

About the role

MumbaiVet is seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Pet Care Associates, providing safe, hygienic, and loving care to dogs in our Malad West facility.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor animals throughout the day for changes in behaviour, appetite, energy levels, breathing, movement or overall condition.
• Observe dogs closely and identify signs of discomfort, stress, pain or illness.
• Monitor feeding and water intake and report animals that are not eating, drinking or behaving normally.
• Assist the veterinary team with medications and prescribed care as directed.
• Provide companionship and basic enrichment through walks, interaction and supervised play where appropriate.
• Support post‑treatment and recovering animals by keeping a close watch and immediately reporting any concerns.
• Maintain basic care records including feeding, medication, behaviour and observations.
• Escalate concerns immediately to the veterinarian or senior team member when an animal's condition changes.

Required profile

• Genuine love and compassion for animals.
• Comfortable handling dogs of various breeds such as Great Dane, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever, Labrador, etc.
• Responsible, attentive and physically active.
• Willingness to work in a veterinary/pet‑care environment.
• Prior experience with pets, shelters, boarding facilities or veterinary clinics is a plus but not mandatory.
