Manufacturing Engineer / Senior Engineer

About the role

Valeo is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer (or Senior Engineer) to lead a production area, ensure high‑quality output, and drive continuous improvement across the team.

Key responsibilities

• Induct new employees, including temporary staff, and organise training actions.
• Analyse skill needs, define training plans, and monitor operator certifications.
• Manage daily absenteeism, holidays, safety compliance, and environmental risk analysis.
• Enforce standard breaks, validate working time, and ensure adherence to reaction standards.
• Conduct monthly performance reviews, annual appraisals, salary reviews and career interviews.
• Perform on‑the‑job training (OJT) and maintain up‑to‑date work instructions for each station.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and site rules are respected by all personnel.
• Define and maintain work standards together with support functions and operators.
• Deploy TPM standards, detect abnormalities, and oversee first‑level preventive maintenance.
• Monitor equipment performance, cycle times and micro‑stoppages, and implement corrective actions.
• Update production displays (QCDM) at shift end and ensure material availability.
• Propose weekly headcounts and organization plans, and guarantee production targets while respecting SQCDM and inventory goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in manufacturing engineering or production management.
• Strong leadership and people‑management skills.
• Ability to analyse flexibility needs and develop training programs.
• Excellent knowledge of safety, quality and environmental standards.
• Results‑oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
