Manager, Strategy & Operations

About the role

Databricks is seeking a senior manager to join the Field Engineering team and shape the Go‑To‑Market (GTM) strategy. You will use data‑driven analysis to support sales and engineering leadership, drive annual planning, and build a robust reporting foundation.

Key responsibilities

• Establish GTM strategy and implement processes to ensure optimal investment timing.
• Partner with GTM leadership to define, track, and scale goals, programs, and strategies.
• Guide the annual GTM planning process, including long‑range modeling, ROI analysis, headcount planning, and capacity setting.
• Design and manage headcount forecasting across fiscal, long‑range, and quarterly horizons.
• Lead executive analyses and deliverables such as board materials and quarterly business reviews.
• Provide visibility and performance tracking through operational councils, dashboards, and productivity indicators.
• Build and enhance the data and reporting foundation for the organization.
• Improve operational efficiency by automating processes and scaling dashboards.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in strategy and operations (investment banking, consulting, FP&A, SaaS, etc.).
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to prioritize and solve complex problems.
• Excellent communication skills to summarize complex data for executives and internal teams.
• Data expertise in querying (SQL, Databricks, BigQuery) and analysis (Excel, pivot tables, charts).
• Process expertise to design end‑to‑end changes, drive agreement, and oversee execution.
• Proficiency with BI and sales tools such as Salesforce and Tableau.
• Passion for high‑performance global teamwork and customer service.
