Loss Prevention Associate

About the role

The Loss Prevention Associate is responsible for safeguarding the property, its guests, and employees by monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and responding to incidents. This role ensures a safe environment while providing courteous assistance to guests.

Key responsibilities

• Patrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room access.
• Monitor CCTV, perimeter alarm, duress alarms, and fire‑life safety systems.
• Lock property entrances when required and conduct daily physical hazard inspections.
• Respond to accidents, provide first aid/CPR, and coordinate with EMS as needed.
• Handle guest or employee disturbances, defuse situations, and call for outside assistance when necessary.
• Complete incident reports, shift summaries, and daily activity logs while maintaining confidentiality.
• Escort unwelcome persons, report vehicle accidents/thefts, and conduct investigations and evidence gathering.
• Follow company policies, report unsafe conditions, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• Physical ability to stand, sit, walk, run, lift up to 50 lb unaided and up to 75 lb with assistance.
• Strong attention to detail for hazard inspections and incident documentation.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests, staff, and emergency services.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and respond quickly to emergencies.

Required skills

• CCTV monitoring.
• Alarm system operation (perimeter, duress, fire safety).
• First aid/CPR certification.
• Use of computers and point‑of‑sale systems for reporting.
