About the role

Lead the legal function for Aditya Birla Capital Limited in Mumbai, providing comprehensive litigation support and strategic legal guidance across the group’s diverse financial services businesses. The role ensures legal risks are managed while supporting business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide litigation services to various departments, conducting research, drafting opinions and reviewing legal documents.
• Develop and execute litigation strategies, coordinate with the Head of Litigation, and manage case handling tactics.
• Respond to notices from customers, regulatory authorities (RBI, SEBI, ED, etc.) and defend lawsuits filed against the company.
• Appoint and brief external counsel or law firms, oversee their work and manage settlements.
• Draft settlement deeds, obtain approvals, and file them with appropriate authorities.
• Support central functions such as HR, IT, Admin, Marketing and Customer Service on legal disputes and potential concerns.
