Lead Auditor – Food HO 1

About the role

We are looking for a Lead Auditor to conduct food safety audits for our clients in India. The role involves planning, executing and reporting audits in line with ISO 19011 and Bureau Veritas management systems, while ensuring compliance with the latest regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct audits according to ISO 19011, Bureau Veritas Management System and BVC India Operations Manual.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of food safety regulations and related technologies.
• Manage the full audit cycle from planning through reporting and communicate any unexpected issues to the audit team leader.
• Coordinate with the audit team leader, follow client schedules and submit travel and expense statements promptly.
• Protect company assets such as laptops and accessories and be ready for frequent travel.

Required profile

• Professional conduct in line with Bureau Veritas code of ethics and confidentiality requirements.
• Ability to manage time effectively throughout the audit process.
• Willingness to develop competence in additional sectors and participate in report reviewing as experience grows.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 19011 auditing standards.
• Familiarity with food safety standards and regulatory compliance.
• Audit planning, execution and reporting capabilities.
