IB DP Mathematics Teacher (AA HL/SL) – Bangalore & Chennai

About the role

We are seeking two passionate educators to join our senior schools in Bangalore and Chennai as IB DP Mathematics Teachers (Analysis & Approaches – Higher Level and Standard Level). The role involves teaching Grades 11‑12, preparing students for the external IB examinations, supervising the Mathematical Exploration internal assessment, and fostering inquiry‑based learning aligned with the IB philosophy.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, differentiate, and deliver inquiry‑driven lessons covering advanced topics such as proofs, complex numbers, vector spaces, differential equations, and calculus, while integrating technology like TI‑Nspire, Casio calculators, Desmos and GeoGebra.
• Design and moderate formative and summative assessments, coach students for Papers 1‑3, and provide criterion‑based feedback to guide targeted interventions.
• Supervise Mathematical Exploration IA, support Extended Essays, contribute to Theory of Knowledge and CAS initiatives, and act as a pastoral mentor for students and parents.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mathematics and a recognized teaching license (B.Ed., PGCE or equivalent).
• 3‑5 years of senior‑secondary mathematics teaching experience, including at least 2 years teaching IB DP Mathematics AA HL, with a proven record of strong student outcomes.
• IB Category 1 or 2 workshop certification in DP Mathematics (AA) preferred; familiarity with CIE A‑Level, Cambridge IGCSE or IB MYP considered an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with graphic display calculators (TI‑Nspire, Casio).
• Experience using Desmos for dynamic visualisation.
• Competence with GeoGebra for geometric and algebraic exploration.
• Strong command of advanced pure and applied mathematics concepts.
